Dick Whittington - News

Dick Whittington

For Panto season 2011/12 I am very excited to be performing in "Dick Whittington and his Cat" at the beautiful Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds. This year I will be donning the dresses again and letting 'Sarah, The Cook' loose on an unsuspecting public!

The Theatre Royal in Bury is the last remaining Regency Theatre and is well worth a visit in it's own right. The script for this year's Pantomime is written by Daniel O'Brien with songs and music by Peter White - great to see a Panto script and score specially written for the venue and and the cast - a fantastic, 1st class, traditional, family Pantomime.

It was also very exciting for me in the run up to rehearsals, as Sarah has been lucky enough to have all her costumes designed and made for her! I worked with a team of costume designers & makers who are all students at the University of Bournemouth Art College. Suffice to say they have gone 'all out' on Sarah's wardrobe, and she looks fantastic! Keep an eye out for one of my personal favourites, a little number in a Moroccan style...

The show is going really well and we are getting a fantastic response from the audience, so I hope to see you there!
