Counting down to panto-monium...
My gig for a corprate client this week marked the last bit of performing I will be doing until Sarah, The Cook strides onto the stage at the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds in "Dick Whittington" on the 25th November. There is just one week left before rehearsals start, so it's eyes down for a full house of script learning over the coming days!
I'm really lucky to be having all my costumes made for me this year by students at the Arts College of the University Of Bournemouth. I had an initial fitting with the guys down there a fortnight ago and will be visiting them again this week for a second fitting, and I can assure you these frocks are pretty special! My personal favourite (or rather "Sarah's" personal favourite...) is a rather revealing Moroccan-inspired number. Can't wait to see it in its finished form... Keep an eye on the Dick Whittington News page for all the updates.
Once rehearsals are underway I will try to make sure there are regular updates on my Facebook page and also on Twitter so keep an eye out on there for all the interesting tid-bits!
2012 will mark my 15th year of professional performing - my first job having been in the ensemble in the original production of "Les Miserables" ath the Palace Theatre in the West End. How time flies when you're having fun! I have every belief that 2012 will be a vintage year, and am looking forward to seeing what it brings work-wise.
